Perplexity Pro Deep Dive
The short answer: if you do research more than 5 hours per week, yes. Deep research mode produces 3,000-5,000 word reports with citations that would take 2-3 hours to compile manually. For academic researchers, market analysts, and knowledge workers, it pays for itself in a single session.
We timed ourselves: a competitive analysis that normally takes 4 hours was done in 45 minutes with Perplexity Pro. The output was 90% as good as our manual research, with the remaining 10% being nuance and context that AI can't yet capture.
